WPTA gains ground in key time slot.
American Advertising Federation members in Indiana, Illinois and Michigan will come to Fort Wayne next month for the group’s 2009 fall conference, titled Cerebral Harvest. Vera Bradley Senior Marketing and Creative Director Monica Edwards is scheduled to speak about the company’s development on the first day of the conference. Asher Agency Marketing Strategist Anthony Juliano also will speak about social networking, and a session is planned to address new postage rules. The professional and club development event is scheduled for Oct. 2-3 at Parkview Field. Tickets for AAF members are $45 for the Oct. 2 session, $40 for the Oct. 3 session or $75 to attend both days. The Fort Wayne AAF club has 232 members. There are more than 6,000 members in the three-state region. Reynolds creates advertising business Entrepreneur Elizabeth Reynolds has created a new company, ROI Business Development LLC, and has been selected as the advertising agent for Fort Wayne-based Zoom Location Based Services.more

The matches for the World championship are sports, social, and political events. Hosting such a match can put Bulgaria ahead and will be very positive for tourism and other areas of the economy,’ said Danailov.

Resounding successIt may be recalled that last year”s championship match between Anand and Russia”s Vladimir Kramnik was a resounding success. It was the most followed world title match in chess history. Current estimates suggest that each game of the Anand-Topalov match will be watched live by over five million internet users around the world.

She holds a bachelor of business administration in marketing degree and an intensive writing degree from Temple University (2004).

There were 365 home sales in Center City West in 2008, with a median sales price of $369,325.

Roofer offers unusual marketing ploy.
Urso Construction LLC, based in Cardington, about 40 miles north of Columbus, ran a full court advertising press promoting new roofs at no cost to homeowners.

Sue Cunningham, a Danbury Township resident who lives in the Perrysburg Estates subdivision, said she was suspicious.

‘We had numerous visits and also cards and flyers,’ she said.

Cunningham said when she described Urso”s operation to her insurance agent, the agent told her it sounded fraudulent.

‘I just don”t want anybody being taken advantage of,’ said Cunningham, ‘and left holding the bag for something they”re not aware of.’

In Perrysburg Estates, almost 7 percent of the approximately 90 homes are under contract to have roofs replaced by Urso.

The company is not replacing just any roof, owner James Urso said.more

Twitter”s own future won”t contain advertising, but that isn”t stopping Time.com from selling its own advertising space on Twitter. Is this one future for social networking ads?

Time”s going all-out to figure out how to make money from social networks. As well as Twitter, it”s selling ad space on its Facebook page and its YouTube page. The idea is part of Time”s ‘Stay Connected’ pitch to its advertisers–another facet to its advertising portfolio. It”s one that”s more carefully targeted than its other avenues since it can track who visits Time.com from its social net Web pages. And it turns out that these people don”t fit the typical Time visitor”s profile, and that may be of interest to some of Time”s advertising partners.

Time”s being subtle about the placements, in large part because they don”t have many options.more

Using Nielsen Media Research advertising industry data, researchers analyzed 600,000 ads for alcohol that aired on cable TV from 2001 through 2006. The researchers limited their analysis to shows that had an audience with less than 30 percent of viewers aged 12 to 20.
